The HO cams are nowhere near 255, actually a short duration 204 would be A better misnomer. The HO motor i believe also has another .3 point of compression. The ho cam specs:

.511 02/30 212
.511 43/10 233
12 degrees overlap as opposed to -8 for the previos cams, and .037 more lift(.044 less than se 255).
They respond very well to low restricion exhuast and professional tune. If you want more cam, look at the Andrews 48. Lower your gearing along with the above and you will really enjoy your ride....

I installed SE204 cams on my '14 103 Breakout. With a proper tune I was able to compensate the lack of torque in the lower rpm band while keeping the high hp output all the way through to 6000 rpm.

For more details and numbers check out my post in the dyno section

That 2.2 pound difference is a single measurement at the torque peak. The difference may be greater elsewhere in the power band.

Possibly, but also look how much more torque the road King makes, and the road King is air cooled. I don't think that difference is because of the counterbalancers because prior to Rushmore, the output differences between a Softail and touring bike were minimal.

More fuel and air in is more power.

This is true. Before my Breakout, I had an 2011 103 Road Glide. My buddy has a 14 Street Glide (with the 103ho)

He could pull on me easily and both bikes were bone stock.

According to the published specs on the HD page, the compression is the same between the two. This is a Low Rider engine comparison

Also, almost every model has different torque ratings

One point of interest is the peak-torque RPM, which seems to be different for almost every model.
