Hi, I am having a random problem with my 2011 Fatboy lo with 5,000 miles. When I'm driving sometimes the red security light will illuminate and stay that way until bike has been shut down for awhile. The odd thing is that I noticed that when the red light is on I have no brake light! The running light is illuminated but no brake light. When the red light is off I have brake lights!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
my 05 fatboy does this some times. Crazy thing is if I hit the clutch side handgrip it shuts off...You might have a wire pinched in your hand controls. Also check your battery I have seen the light come on when someone needs a battery.

that happened to me when i pinched one of my turn signal wires in a wire clamp. the red light would come on and my right turn signal wasn't working. stopped as soon as i unclamped the wire (haven't even been in the wire insulation to see if it broke/frayed. that part is a little strange to me). maybe check for good continuity on the brake light wire. try to move it around while you have a meter or test light on it to see if you get any change/fluctuation in the reading.
