Default Looking for advise on side/axle mount plate

I have a Slim and I been looking for different ways to mount the plate. At first I was looking at the Kuryakyn that mounted to the swing arm. But with the swing arm bag I don't think it would work. Then I found TC Bros. Their axle mounts are pretty cool. I looked around for what size my axle is but I am not having any luck. Theirs fit 3/4" axle. I am guessing these mount on the axle on the outside of the swing arm? And is there a nice way to mount the wires so they are not totally noticeable?

Thanks
Eric

Road 6 Customs has similar stuff, and it's well built and a LOT less expensive. Since you posted up a vertical plate with the old run/stop light, I posted a couple similar ones.

Check these out:

http://store.road6customs.com/CURVED...ight-00109.htm

http://store.road6customs.com/Model-...ight-00107.htm

There are a few additional options, too... pages 33 and 34 of the parts section for softails.

I'm running a horizontal plate holder with the old run/stop light from these guys. Bomb-proof, aside from the bulbs, which love to burn out. Cheap to replace, but after a few bulbs, I just put in LED ones. (My Slim didn't need load balancers - yours won't either.)

From their description:

1/2" is shock mount for Harley's Sportster's and Dyna's
(Please note: If you are mounting the shock mount on a
1982-2015 Sportster you will probably need a spacer for
shock clearance. On Sportster's you MUST mount to the shock.)
3/4" hole is axle mount for 2007 and Older Harley's
25mm hole is axle mount for 2008 and Newer Harley's

One thing to note - in WI, it's illegal to run a vertical plate. I know guys who do, but I don't want to give the guys in blue any reason to take additional notice of me.

Take a look at the Cycle Visions 'In Close' plate. Most unobtrusive there is, with hidden LED lighting.

I like the look of that one. How are the wires ran for the light if it has one?

Up the side of the swinging arm and up under the seat. Surprising how discreet you can get the wire with patience.

Same here. Ran the wires up along the underside of the swingarm, mostly hidden behind the swingarm bag. You can't really notice the wires, and what you can see is very tidy. A little patience and effort yields good results.
