Default Need some advice ---help

Presently own an 09 Heritage that is like new that I really have set up just right for my needs.
Here's the problem. Everytime I turn around I'm thinking of getting a new RGS.
Anybody else going through something similar?
Thanks for your input.

First off I love my Heritage and will likely never get rid of it.
It's not the look neccesarily that I love but the way it rides.

I'm not a Road Glide fan, but I've always liked the Street Glide.
I figured once my Heritage was paid for I'd add a Street Glide to garage to set alongside my Heritage.

Well I paid off the Heritage a year or so ago but still don't have a SG primarily due to I'm reluctant to spend the money.
I'm getting more focused on retiring in about 15 or so years and $20K invested over 15 years adds up to a nice chunk of change.

My Wife asked me what I liked about the Street Glide and I said the fairing and hard bags.
She suggested that instead of getting a Street Glide why not just turn my Heritage into a bagger?
Well I added a fairing about 6 weeks ago and that seems to satisfy me for now.
However I've got my eyes open for some hard bags in vivid black if I find a good deal.

Long story short; why replace the Heritage when you can modify it to make it more what you want?
Of course give my an hour and I can have my beloved Heritage back to it's classic look.

Loved my 11 heritage, but traded it on a 13 RG when they were released. I may have a heritage again someday, but will always have a Roadie in the garage.

We did over 7000 miles this year to Sturgis and back with 2 softails in the group, one of them my better half's fatboy lo with bags, windshield and RK tourpak attached. You can absolutely tour your butt off on a softail, but it's not the same as a SG, RG, or ultra.

I think the heritage is the best bang for the buck bike Harley makes, but to me I just prefer the feel and ride of the touring bikes. My RG is awesome around town and you can't beat a touring bike for touring. If you keep thinking about it, I suggest you go for a test ride on a RG on a Friday - that way you'll have the whole weekend to take everything off your Heritage and put the stock stuff back on before you trade it in on Monday.

This.

There is always some other bike that we think we have a hankering for. For the foreseeable future though, my Fatboy (like your Heritage for you) will be the bike for me.

I'm on a Softail Standard and dream of adding a Road Glide to the garage.

I love my Heritage and plan on keeping it on and on. It's a carbie which is a thing of the past and I like that about it.

I would like to add a SG, RG, or RK someday. I don't ride all that much because of working my regular job plus mowing yards too. But, it don't hurt to dream.

My house needs work so I guess for now I'll just buy something for the Heritage ever now and then and call it good.

I've thought about trading in my Heritage for a Street Glide for pretty much the same reasons that Bluraven listed.
