Presently own an 09 Heritage and want to upgrade to the 103, ABS and cruise control. Well all along I have been convincing myself to go with a new RGS even my wife and I don't do any real long touring.
I am thinking that since I do like the Heritage and for the reasons stated maybe I should save considerable $ and get a new 2016 Heritage instead of the RGS.
What do you think? Looking for your valued opinion.
THANKS

Not that I'm biased but with the Heritage you get the best of both worlds.
I put quick releases on my backrest so I can strip the bike down for local cruising and switch it up for a long ride.

It's a preference thing. Ride both and go from there.

FYI I like I said I own a 09 Heritage now and I have driven the RGS. I guess since I don't do the heavy touring I used to I am just looking for opinions on possibly going with the new 2016 Heritage since it has what I'm really interested in, the ABS, 103 engine and cruise and Saving the $.
What would you do???
What would you do???
Unless I was sure of what I wanted I wouldn't buy anything.
When I bought my Heritage there was no other bike I wanted.
Sounds like you need to hang onto the 09 Heritage for a while until you've made up your mind.

Try renting a RGS for a day or two. Because its not just the radio and gps!!! Its also sitting in traffic, parking lots full of other bikes. Slow speed handling. backing up when its called for... What Im trying to say is its a heavy bike and you don't think about all the little things on a test drive..... The grass isn't always greener....
And after that if you feel that you more comfy with the heritage get a 2016. they are a grand less this year and that blue and white is a killer!!!!! swifty

If our 07 Heritage would quit running better and better every yr I might thing about trading it in..
And I do at least 2 (6-7 day) trips of 1500 miles or more every year.. and it does a great job.. I've never had the first complaint..

There are two touring forums. Why not ask your question in one of those forums? People on the softail forum tend to prefer Softails. Personally if I'm going to be doing long distance touring I prefer something more reliable than the recall Rushmores.
