The lack of bearings is not a problem. Most car engines are like that, too. There was one spot that showed some wear but you can still see the original machining marks and this was after 58K miles.
Also, this is not the hybrid (SE) version with the orange cam plate. This is what is used on 2007-up models. Both of the cam chains are roller link.
PS - The oring mod can be made on the stock and SE cam plates, too.
Scooter is running! Started right up, lifters clattered for about a minute until the oil pressure built. Ticking seems to be gone but hard to tell running with open exhaust (head pipes only). Hokey smokes it's LOUD! Kinda liking it.
Have to wait on it to cool off then put stuff together. Might get a ride in late today.
When that's done have to replace the rear tire and get it inspected for tag renewal.
