I have been to a swap meet, and searched the web until Google asked me to stop. They said I was skewing the "most searched stats"...No one even remembers this tire, much less the name? How does a tire become forgotten in Only 15 years?? I have now found a NOS Goodyear 21" "Sport Rib" tire from a dealer.
That will have to do for now.

That tire is from 1982. The picture you have is from the renegade tv series starring Lorenzo Lamas. It is his hand on the fork slider of the shows star bike. It has most likely been discontinued by now, just like the show.
What? Renegade has been discontinued?? Damn...
OP- good luck with the tire hunt, no idea on that one unfortunately.
If U read this thread more carefully, you would know that I do not pretend to be Lorenzo LameAss. It WAS a lame show, but the Mc was pretty nice...
Thankyou for your uninformed response however it is quite irrelevant. I need a period tire to match a custom motorcycle that I own I own. The Renegade picture was the only clear one I could find. That tire was fitted to many MC's (Choppers) in magazine features during the 70's and 80's. So far I have found a Firestone Ribbed racing tread tire. (NOS)
If I want your opinion on Television Shows, I will beat it out of you in the future...
Now...back to the point of this thread. Does anybody out there know where a tire like this may be available?
For some reason I cannot see the thumbnail when I click on it to enlarge but was going to mention Firestone to be your most likely source for vintage style tyres. The two bikes depicted below belong to the same friend of mine and he always uses Firestones.
Thanks....Someone told me the tire i was looking for is a discontinued Dunlop. I believe Firestone may be the next best thing. I found a Goodyear racing tire (NOS) for now. See pic
Can you tell me where your friend gets these? I don't see them in any vintage catalogs, but I haven't done an exhaustive search.
The funny thing about looking for something is it is ALWAYS in the last place that you look.
Thanks again
BTW...Your friends bikes are really great. Just what I am into...

Obviously we live in England but he gets his tyres from an authorised UK outlet of Coker Tyres USA (excuse the English spelling of tires) over here. For us the tyres are eye wateringly expensive for what they are. I know you mentioned Coker yourself but you may end up with little or no other option perhaps from your exhaustive searching?
Have another look at the link below and see if anything may suit your needs?
