Can anybody recognize this front 21" tire? I think they were popular in the 70's 80's and 90's. I need the brand, and the name.
Thanks if you can help....
So Far, no takers Huh..? I am counting upon the wise membership of The Harley Davidson forums here. Someone out there has to have knowledge about this tire...
I have Googled, E-bayed, and scoured the web...There has to be a better way.

Duro has good line of vintage tires, but not this one. At least not in current production anyways. So does Coker tires. But I am looking for this exact tire.
Thanks...!
That tire is from 1982. The picture you have is from the renegade tv series starring Lorenzo Lamas. It is his hand on the fork slider of the shows star bike. It has most likely been discontinued by now, just like the show.
Okay...Thanks.... Yeah, I cut Lorenzo out of the pic before I posted it. I know the show aired from 1992-1997 though. It was probably a popular tire before that. If I had the name of the tire it would be a big help. Did you have one in 1982 or something? I was wondering why you were so specific with the year.
Thanks!

Looking at that center tread, it has to be an extinct dunlop..they still use that same center tread today...but they don't make one with the ribbed treads on the side like that one has...and looking at all the vintage motorcycle tire places...no one else does either. If you are making a renegade bike copy...that bike didn't always have that tire.
I checked out Coker's tires. Nothing similar there. Maybe it IS an extinct Dunlop. The center tread pattern IS very similar. Thanks Tom84FXST! Also, the photo you posted looks like an Avon SpeedMaster MkII, or a Goodyear Ribbed racing tire. Firestone made these too. The first two are still available.
Maybe this tire wasn't as popular as no one remembers the name. I used to read chopper magazines (Custom Chopper, and EasyRider etc.) in the 70s, and 80's I remember seeing this tire. It may have been a popular West Coast item. Any Old Left Coaster's out there...? Unfortunately, I no longer have my magazines left.
I have seen old pics of published choppers on the web. Does anyone know of a site where these articles are posted, stories and all? I may end up buying some Old magazine's next time I go out to a Swap meet.
Thanks.
