Default New or Used Breakout ?

I have decided i want to buy a breakout i want the 2016 candy flake. But would consider a used one. I had a couple of questions on the financing. I was hoping to do 72 months. Can i get a a 72 month loan for the breakout and also if i did find a used one i like is it possible to get 72 months financing on a used bike. Also if i have only been at my job like 6 month is that going to be a problem. My credit isnt great its like 640 but i will have a down payment of at least 3 or 4 K.

any help will be appreciated
thanks

The Breakout is pretty popular being a relatively new model compared to the rest of the lineup, so used values aren't a lot less than you should be able to get a new one for. Since you'll most likely be able to get a better interest rate on a new one it may end up being the better deal.

It's hard to comment on the credit issues... that's best answered by the dealer's finance department and will depend on more information than what you've posted here (type of credit in your history, debt to income ratio, etc.).

When I bought my 2015 new, the price difference between a used 2013 and my new one was all of a grand. Depending on what you are looking at for stock, I would generally say the better warranty/financing will be on the new one.

You'll want a '16 since it has some additional upgrades that the previous years doesnt have such as hydraulic clutch, throttle by wire (with cruise), HO 103. You shouldnt have an issue getting the 72 month loan but they may hit you with a higher interest rate. I just bought a bike from the dealer last friday and I actually went with a 84 mth loan and got a low interest rate (3.4%) but my credit is good like 780.

Yes on the TBW and the HO 103, but it still has a cable clutch and cruise control is an add on (one I would highly recommend as it works flawlessly on my 2016 FLSTFB).

I think you may have been thinking of the Fat Boy S. It got the hydraulic clutch and cruise control standard as will the CVO Breakout that was just announced.

I've had both. A used 2015 and just bought a new 2016. Buy the new one. You will get a better loan. And a few extras that the '15 doesn't have.

Get whichever one you can get for the best deal. Might be able to score a used one for a real good price. Although might have to look at a private sell and not dealer for that. And if you're like most of us here than you might want to start saving for the "Harley mod fund" also. It's more addicting than crack

I bought mine only a couple of months old with 600 miles. Came with stage one and sissy bar / rack. 2015 bike with chrome metal flake. The previous owner lost 4,000gbp after buying all the extras and handing it back to the dealer.
