Looking for some advice. Stock piling supplies for next bike paint job. I want to do panels with lace work inside. Anyone know where to get good lace fabric to use? Any one done this and have pics to show?
you can get the fabric from any fabric store, I got mine at a local shop. Word of advice, take the time to properly tape! and when you spray do shoot it to heavy, mist it ove a couple times. the lace should be snug on the metal. if it's not your going to do it all over again
If you use google images and enter "Red 2013 CVO breakout" you can get pics of the lace paint job they did from the factory. I have one and it is gorgeous.
Practice on something else 1st before doing your bike. Quite a few good tutorials on youtube. Heres a practice I did, you can see how it loses definition when the lace wasnt sitting tight against the surface.
