When i had my Chopper i just chose not to carry registration papers. I had a valid plate and insurance card. I looked into stash tubes but i bought a different bike before i got around to it.

Oops, I just saw your question. It is at the bottom of the fork bag.

it's amazing how much we like to over engineer things. I own three bikes and keep all license, reg, insurance for all three in my zip up leather wallet w/chain. if you don't like that you can always get one of those ID cases you wear around your neck. Ebay has them for $5.00. or get one of the fancier leather ones for $15.00. keep it simple. In NY we get pulled over a lot for all types of reasons (license plate mount, lights, exhaust note, etc) getting off the bike and unlocking, unscrewing, or removing something is just too much of a hassle especially when you have gloves on, your sunglasses, helmet, it's hot, and you're pulled over on a side of a road that offers very little space to move around. keep it simple.

Not a good idea to leave registration in any vehicle or bike. Keep it your wallet just in case your vehicle or bike gets stolen.
