Default clatter and shift points

This has burned may *** since day one. Shift point in the manual may work if there was no compenstating sprocket. The shift points need to be much higher than manual especially when the bike is hot or the clatter from the sprocket will drive me nuts. Any body else notice this. It still has the stock exhaust and it is the only sound I can hear out of the bike. No valve train, primary, or tranny sounds on my new fxstc. From my limited riding of this bike, it would seem that 6th gear shift point in my case is at around 60 mph minimum. On the first few miles when the oil is still cold in the primary the sprocket won't make any noise even shifting at manual recommendations, but when hot, the shift points have to be moved up considerably.

Heritage 07: I agree, around 65 is the magic number for sixth. Do you hear the compensator clatter when close to lugging the engine?
