Inspection sticker question - Texas
I've recently ordered a new fenderfor my 06 fatboy (along with wheels, tires, 200kit, etc.). The fender has a frenched in license plate mount, led, etc. The problem is I now have to find a place to mount my inspection sticker. Due to obvious inexperience I didn't consider this beforehand. I am currently running the stock fender, as it came from the dealer, with the inspection sticker mounted directly to the license plate bracket. Do any you guys have a custom setup that may help? Is anyone familliar with Texas law regarding how/where the inspection sticker has to be mounted? I admit I am embarrased to have to ask, but what do you do? Any help would be much appreciated.
I hope I'm not breaking any rules. I posted this question in another thread for "southwest' but I later realized that that thread is for events and rides. Hope a few of you guys may be able to help.

§ 548.255. ATTACHMENT OR PRODUCTION OF INSPECTION
CERTIFICATE. (a) An inspection certificate shall be attached to or
produced for a vehicle in the manner required by department rule.
(b) The department shall:
(1) require that a certificate for a motorcycle[0] be
attached to the rear of the motorcycle[0] near the license plate; and
(2) adopt rules with respect to display of an
inspection certificate for a moped
"near" seems kind of ambiguous to me. I don't see any definition for "near" in the statute, so I'm assuming this would be left to judgement on the officer's part.
The rest of you guys, thanks for the plate options. That's exactly what I was looking for.

I know people who have had it for years there and never ran into a problem, but you never know.
Side note- got mine inspected the other day and the first words out of the guys mouth was. Won't pass
Bars in Texas have to be less than 14 inches higher than your front seat. I asked him about the wide glide and street bob and he said they won't pass either as he put the inspection sticker on the side and then said if you get pulled over I put this on the back because this isn't legal either.
I wouldn't and don't worry about it, but oddsare you get by
Jeff
