Personally, I would not want it on my bike either....but that is MY choice...just as I choose to leave the seat belt right where it is and collecting dust...

What's the point? Since you don't seem to get it Pal I will try and explain so you can understand. Seatbelts save lives...its really that simple only a fool would not get that. The other point is drinky drink gets on here and starts to moan and complain about how no ABS would "clean up" the front of his bike LOL He goes on to blather that it is just bringing up the cost blah, blah...Blah. Sell the damn bike then!

WTF cares what either of you do, rip out the ABS, cut the seatbelts out of your cars. I could care less, considering your mentality I deep down kind of hope you do.

Choices huh big man? You obviously also don't get that your choices effect other people than you (selfish). Does whoever, if there is anyone who cares about you coming home alive feel the same as you...? I will be the guy flipping you off as you are catapulted through the windshield of your car in a wreck.

Lets see, first of all...I can tell by your tone...we are most certainly not pals...and I am pretty sure I have no interest in becoming one...

Seatbelts save lives...yup MSM has you trained well. Data is skewed regularly to support the agenda....

Last time I checked this was the United States of America where we are supposed to have the right to choose what we do...not be nanny stated into what everyone else wants.

And apparently you cannot read or you would have seen the freaking conversation before your little temper tantrum you spewed out here...

Oh and as far as WTF cares?? Apparently you do considering your vomit of the mouth you just threw out....

As far as me being selfish...you are freaking clueless....I am very well aware of every decision I make...I am very well aware of every decision every other sheeple makes as well....

If it makes you feel better to flip off a corpse....have at it big guy....I am so sure that is going to make ya feel real good...

Just a side note...your whole seat belts save lives crap....

In 1980, my brother was almost killed by a T-bone accident. He was impacted at approximately 65 MPH. The State trooper on the scene as well as the other people that were there and deal with this stated clearly in documentation that had he been wearing that murder belt he would have died...instead he spent 6 months in the hospital recovering from the accident. So...before you come on here being a total jackmonkey...get your facts....

Secondly, I drove tow truck for quite some time and have seen more then you have read about....Bottom line my family and I have had lengthy discussions about this and WE have made our choices based upon what WE feel is important to US and what we have decided does not impact you...so you can take your attitude and you know what you can do with it....Thanks for stoppin'....

He's going to remove the clutch and the brake lever next to get a cleaner look because they stick out too far - i mean who needs these things right? They just make our bikes so much more heavier !!!

Tampa

I think it can be done. I don't know what year your Deluxe is but let's say it's a 2011.

You will need:

Stock NON ABS lines front and rear (Ebay or CL easy)

A new main wiring harness (Boardtracker or Ebay)
*May not be needed if your bike is a pre-BCM model.

Non ABS spacers and bearings for front and rear wheels (Boardtracker and bearing shop)

The job will be pretty straightforward in my opinion but keep in mind I've never done it; I'm just thinking out loud.

Purge front and rear brake systems of fluid, remove lines and remove ABS pump.

Install Non ABS lines, fill and bleed both systems. At this time you can choose to use DOT 5 if you like (non hygroscopic but not compatible with ABS). You'll need to clean all remnants of the DOT 4 out of the master cylinders thoroughly. I run it in my non ABS, carbed FXD. A bonus is that it won't hurt paint if spilled; it's silicone based.

Change the wheel bearings and spacers, but you could wait until you have 30K miles or so on the originals. Lowcountry Joe knows the part number of replacement non ABS bearings that are cheaper and better than the stock HD offerings. I trust what he says implicitly.

From here you're good if you're willing to look at an ABS fault light or tape over it. It will probably throw a DIC code and store it as well. But if you want to do it right you could R&R the main harness for a non ABS harness, both are listed as available items. This will allow the BCM to operate normally as there will be no ABS plugs on it. Not a huge job really and can probably be done on the cheap if you're willing to sell the ABS main harness. ABS pump and wheel sensors.

I may have missed something so of course check my facts. I recently had a great time in Florida due to the hospitality of FL Crew Members. I hope this has been at least as helpful. I do apologize for not judging you or your choices; mostly because I'm not fit to do so and partly because I have important stuff to do this morning like feed the cats and go ride my motorcycle

Hmm, I can't figure out whether to make a decision based on your anecdote, or based on the mountains of evidence to the contrary.

While we're at it, here's the ol' watermelon drop test, with and without a helmet:
