Default Streetbob dash on a softail???

I know there are some on here with way more fabrication talent than I have. OK a lot, but anyway. To those I ask, How much fab work would go into putting a streetbob tank console on a 2013 Breakout. I know the mounting plate is different, and even the opening in the top of the tank is a different shape. Anyone have any ideas on it? It could be that a little trimming and welding a couple of tabs with screw holes to the stock breakout tank bracket could do it, but that usually isn't my luck.

Wouldn't it be easier putting a streetbob tank on the breakout instead of trying to mount the dash alone?

Might be easier to fit a Fat Boy, Slim, Heritage, or Deluxe dash or tank with dash since those are all Softails.

It would be much easier just to do the tank swap, but also high dollar. The dash alone isn't going to be cheap. The reason I asked is I'm not a fan of the softail dashes, but I need a place to relocate the speedometer, and indicator lights without putting it on the side of the front forks. I am putting on a set of Arlen Ness Ram Hi Bars, and the ''brilliant" factory mount for the speedo is now useless. The radius of the bars starts too low on the vertical posts for a T-bar mount to get the speedo up where I need it, and will mess up the whole look of the bars anyway.

Here is what one guy did on his blackline.
