For sure. If you lower them then I find the lines flow way better. Definitely cleans the rear end up. Haven't had a problem getting aftermarket parts for mine. Just order up some sweet PM spoked wheels.
Honestly, remove that big piece of plastic holding on the license plate and lower it so it doesn't look like a dirt bike, it makes a world of difference.
Sure the seller did not have any trouble getting rid of it at that price. Half of NADA and they do the research I would assume to get their price. Know my city appraises my 04 at 10500. Would not bother me a bit if the would cut that in half.

I've trimmed the license plate frame/holder down and you're correct. It does look better. I'm on the fence as to lowering the bike as I don't want it to ride stiffer when my wife goes with me. She has a bad back and it's already tough on her to ride.

My rear wheel is a semi-solid off of a Softail Custom. I had it powder coated black. I think it's a a 17x6.5 and fits a 200 on it. It really fills out the fender but it's a huge pain in the ***. I have to remove the rotor to get the wheel off.

I did it with bolts before switching to the Shotgun Shock. The Shotgun is fantastic, but I wouldn't use bolts is you're concerned about the ride.

Dropped the front 2" with mono tubes and the rear to the top of the rim line.

2" drop upfront with springs on mine. I want to get a 23" fat spoke wheel and drop it another 2" upfront. You can tell it's a bit of a rake when you're running slammed with the shotgun.
Of course, I'm wanting to build myself a hard tail chopper, so you know I'm OK with a rougher suspension.
The 3" tank lift doesn't hurt with the flow of lines as well. Apparently the Deuce's fuel pump sits a little further back than a normal Softail, so you're not losing as much fuel capacity as on a standard Softail tank. I usually fill up by 170 miles.
