Help with hardbags on Heritage
I'll try again with an appropriate title. I want to change out the leather bags on my Heritage to hard bags. I liked the look of the Heritage bags Reckless shows on their site. Their notes say the turn signals must be changed out. A tech with them says the stock signals will work with a spacer and their site shows photos of a late model Heritage with stock signals with their bags mounted (there is not enough detail up close to show the spacer, if there is one). As far as I can tell they do not offer the spacer so I take it one must fab something himself/herself. Herein lies my question to those who have mounted Reckless bags on their Heritage, what did you do about the spacing so the lights did not interfere?
As I said in the other post, I'm pretty good with the mechanical side ,but not so with metal/paint work. I'm a bit long of tooth now and retired so I would like to do this myself if there is a simple solution ( I feel there should be ) and I don't want the extra cost (fixed income) of paint/metal work.
Question #2 If someone knows of a brand of hard saddle bags that doesn't present this problem (changing out turn signals, altering the fender) and simply uses the adapter mounts without a frantic search for latches and locks and dosen't cost an arm, a leg and a hand I'd like to hear from you.
Thanks for looking

as for blinkers i used a style like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CUSTOM-CH...-/172299820209 i cut a piece of aluminum angle the length of my license plate drilled some holes and mounted it behind my plate and then bolted the blinker through. You can go all sorts of different ways with led strips or small blinkers. its your call how to go about it
heres a pic of my fatboy before and after you can kind of see how the blinkers are
