If you want a "chopper" then cutting the frame, raking it, stretching it up and out would give you a true chopper. These bolt on rake kits look cool but it's still a "bolt on" item. Get someone with a jig to cut that bitch up and make it a true chopper. I plan on doing the same thing quite possibly this winter. I plan on going up/out 4" and adding about 5* rake. Do whatever you feel you want to do and not anyone else including myself.
Vulcan engineering used to supply three degree rake bearings which would do the job.
I did four inch over tubes and the added rake made my Deuce even more stable while raising the front stance just a touch.
My lean angles are now in sport bike territory and I can report better cornering, more stability and no problems turning around lock to lock on two lane blacktop.
While i was at it I converted to a sport 19 front tire with an alloy rim. Better brakes. Cartridge valves for the fork tubes.
Yeah. The Deuce is one GREAT handling machine.
