Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I just tucked it under my seat for the ride. Worked great until I started it with my phone plugged in and popped the fuse. Thankfully it wasn't my phone.
Hi, this is my first post. I just installed this on my HD Slim-s this weekend https://www.cyclegear.com/accessorie...ide-usb-outlet
The pic dose not show it, but it came with wires to the batt. i just ran the wires up under the tank with the rest of them and came up through the triple tree with the other wires. The sae plug is right there at the risers and worked out perfect for me to mount the USB adapter on the back side of my phone mount with 3M outdoor double sided tape. I will get a pic once i get home. Oh, the mounting tabs on the adapter are rubber and i just cut them off with a knife.
I don't like the idea of loading up my bike battery with accessories beyond the ones that are organic to the bike, i.e. GPS and alarm. So I bought a big outboard USB/iPhone battery that lets me hook other accessories up to it. That was my solution to this problem and it works fine.
