Being a U. S. Navy Veteran I'd show my respect for all Army Veterans and would not buy that bike. That green with the Big White Star is for U.S. Army Veterans only.
FYI, the star is considered a "National Symbol" in the U.S. military. It is not proprietary to the Army. Different branches have utilized the star in different eras, and on different types of vehicles, including aircraft.

True. But the combination with the olive green screams ww2 era army to me. Albeit technically there is air force heritage in that technically. Guess it's all personal preference and perception.
OK, so what first atrackted me to the Slim S was the Olive Gold denim with the star on the tank but, the black looks so good too. I don't know which one to get. I like the look of the '42 WLA but I'm thinking that the black would be more timeless and look up to date down the road.
So, what say you?
The Olive Gold Denim has the style defined for you. Can't change any part of the colour scheme later on.
The Vivid Black is a blank canvas. You can change just the tank, to any colour you choose, still fits in with the black. Big visual change.
That's old school.
Both great choices.
