Hey how are yall Im a little confused on how to correctly measure cables for ape install I'm doing. I just installed a set of Carlini 16 inch Evil springer apes on my 2001 springer. I do believe the stock risers are on this which are 4 inches. but my question is how to correctly measure the cable. what length would you guys recommend. Thank yall for the help

You already have the bars mounted on the bike so measuring the cables is pretty easy. This is what I did...
With your old lines disconnected from the bars tape some chicken wire or wire to the ends (no longer than 12" at most) then run them up to your connection points on you bars with the amount of slack you want..... then mark the wire extensions you made. Measure the distance between the mark you just made and the end connections on your old cables and that will give you the overage in length you need to order up. Go to Magnum Shielding's website and order up the cables you want. Their cables can all be ordered in plus size increments to the factory length cables (ie: +8", +10", +12" etc...)
I'm guessing you will want +10" or +12" depending on how much slack you want.
