Considering Fat Boy - What Do I need to know

Around 2006 or '07 Harely put a WIDE low profile rear tire on the Fatboy. I had a 2005 with the same rear Tire size as a Heritage/ Deluxe. When I test rode the late model Wide tire Fatboy, I could tell the bike felt "heavier" at low speed and bumps were harsh due to the reduced cush of the low profile rear tire.
Since strength might be an issue, test ride a Deluxe or similar softail with the standard rear and see if you "feel" there is a difference.
