It would take a full day to install a big bore kit with cams on a bike.

Maybe longer if you have a lot of BS in the way.

I bought about 400$ of Jims and Mac tools specific to doing the job, which made things alot smoother.

Price wise, it could vary. I had some stuff already, Like pushrods, S&S gear kit and gaskests/ orings.

my kit was around 2300$ with the head work, ignition,cams,piston kit with ringsand boring the barrels and ported intake manifold.

I looked at it this way,
I could do what I did withthe 90 hp mild, reliable95" kit, or go all the way and build a 113"+ monster with all of the necessary parts and machining.
Anything in between is just a stop on the way to the monster.

So, decide how you ride. If you like to race, build the monster. If you like to ride with some decent grunt, go with the Stage II.
10 years ago, I would have built for the max, but now I just like to breath the fresh air, look at the scenery and have a decent dose of throttle on demand.

Well I think the most important thing was to correct every lame a** thing wrong with HD engineering. IEengine displacment that is not idustry standard,(88 in.)chain drive cams and tensioners,poorly machined heads and the rediculess blow by.

And hey if I end up with a few extra ponies GREAT!
