Was running super hot, burned a hole in my jeans from the pipes. Seemed like every time I do something I need to put it back on the dyno. I'd rather just adjust it when needed and I like the sound of the carb way better.
I've lost 4-5 pairs of jeans due to my pipes. In addition to keeping my leg further out on the footpeg, I'm planning to ceramic coat my pipes when the budget allows. You can coat them inside and out and reduce the heat considerably.
Well when I had my 2-1 I had 0 issues. I upgraded my intake, and added a fuel pack, 0 issues. Changed the pipes and it wasn't so bad until it hit the dyno. It got progressivly worse each ride until I almost had to get off it at a red light in 70 degree weather. The pipes are are more away thank the old Vance and Hines were, that kinda heat is way too much. Pipes are coated and wrapped.

Just from looking at it, those pipes will probably always be a bit hotter than more typical pipes, and weather you stay will fuel injection or go carb, besides coating and wrapping, the only way to cool them down more at a stop, is turn it off, or dump a fair bit more fuel in there, which can be easily done with a tuner, or a carb.
It was tuned, I just added those bends to give the pipes more length to help. It had 100% fuel dump in each cylinder also, hopefully the carb will help. I just like the fact I'm going away from many components to just a few. It's basically going to be wired and run the same as a big dog would.
