It would twist and shake like old Mr sneaky snake trying to get across a FL interstate in July. Softail frame was never designed for all that one side twisting motion

That won't load the frame any different than the stock swing arm. The one sided swing arm might not be as stiff as the stocker and itself flex, but the loads are input into the frame at the same points (the swing arm bearings).
Those from Rolling Thunder might be cheaper, not sure.
You can even get one with oil in the frame & a filter.
And they have a tubular version as well...
