total cheap, ugly garbage .I was embarrassed to have it on my ride.I gave it to a local indie. I have been buying Mustang seats with the foldable,adjustable,hi-quality,good looking back rests.
Not to be an *** hat here but why would you complain about it being ( total cheap , ugly garbage ) but that huge bag on your passenger back rest looks like it came from a flea market? just an observation. Not saying it is cheap but it looks like that from here
I bought mine for the hardware since I like the way it fits and that I can remove the backrest in a second. I am having the pad redone though in the same material as my seat, half the thickness and oval (not squared off on the bottom) - I will post pics when I get it back from the guy who is doing the work.
I got my custom/modified Grasshopper back rest back from the seat shop today and I am pretty impressed. Again, it was totally redone and all that remains stock is the bracket. It has closed cell foam, reshaped with rounded lower corners, thinner, lower, and it has both types of the stock seat material (smooth & grained, with both on the front).
By the way, I found a custom seat shop here is Florida that did it and would recommended them to others interested in doing the same or something similar. As mentioned in this thread, some that have these love them and others not so much but it really helps me and I noticed the difference when I did not have it. However, I wanted it to look stock, which I think it does now. And I am working on the rear fender bib so excuse the incompleteness.

I dont have a passenger backrest. My bike is a solo ride. No rear foot pegs or seat either. I dont think my bag looks all that bad. When I ride I go far and for the whole day. I have to have some stuff.
