Am I being overly sensitive???
You're right, I probably coddleit too much. I have opened it up a few times and hit triple digits on the speedo, but I do baby it a bit too much.

My Ducati broke down while doing 90 mph on the freeway with a little over 500 miles on it. My Toyota 4 Runner was in the shop 24 days the first year I had it. I had a BMW Z3 that seemed to never leave the shop. So far so good on the Harley.
The only "problems" I have had is the sensor and the fuel line. After some reflection, I see these are two extremely minor issues.
No oil leaks, No burning oil, no smoking, no running hot, no rideability problems, basically none of the bad stuff.

I have had my bike 18 months. I have had the following issues:
...
am I just being a sissy.
Don't feel bad all bikes have problems. Here are some I've HAD:
1990 ZX-11 =At 10K electricalcables got burned since they were not tied correctly and were sitting on top of engine, right under the gas tank, lucky bike did not explode. Sold it after 4 years and 40K.
1999 Hayabusa = New, kept stalling, engine would cut off at any time, spent a lot of time in the shop, solution: removed fuel filter, then sold it.
2004 BMW 1150RT = New would consume 1 quart of oil every 600 miles!! and it was hard to start when cold, no solution!! SOLD it.
2007 HD Fat Boy. Wooohoooo at last a bike with no problems (at least for me and knocking on wood). I may get another bike later on, the call of the rocket is strong.
Finally, if you are not happy with it anymore, and like others suggest, sell it. It's a relief, believe me, you'll feel better and enjoy your ride more, I know I do.
