Does anyone know where I can get a printed copy of this. My local stealer is being a jacka$$ about it.He tells me the cold start problems that I am having are all in my head, and there is no service bulletin. I know this has been mentioned on this forum several times.
Here is the link to the service bulletin: http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/hhlair1/M1185.pdf
Even if you print it out and bring it in to the dealer, he may not perform the service. You might have to call the moco or find another dealer willing to do the work.

What a *******!!! I'd bring it toa stealer that willing to do your business. Tell the loser that he sucks and he can stuff it up his --- ! Pretty sad when a customer knows more about a service record than a service department of a stealership! [:@]
Thanks guys, I talked to a service writer at another stealer today. He was well aware of the bulletin and more than willing to take care of the issue. It kinda sucks thatone wouldget better service from a stealer thats 40 miles away as opposed to the placewhere you bought the bike thats less than 5 miles away.
Is part of the issue the engine just stalling if you blip the throttle like to clear the pipesor sometimes just off idle for no reason. A couple times I would just take off from a stop sign and while makinga turn the bike would stall, Also seemed to have a hard time restarting as if it was too rich or the timing was off.

Yes, it will do this when th bike is cold. Mine would choke itself out just idleing when th engine was cold. The fix is changing the 8° injector to a 23° injector.
Despite their refusal at first and then reluctance to even discuss the issue afterwards, I was able to convince them to do it. It's not like it cost them anything so I never understood what the problem having it done was all about.
Huge difference in cold starts and initial running performance. No more dying after start and hesitations in traffic.
Once I get it dyno'ed it should be good to go.
I could see staying with the 8's if the engine were still stock. However, it has the 95 kit, 203 cams, pipes and air cleaner. This means more air and the 25's are feeding the fuel better.
guys. if you ever have a problem with your dealer call HD corprate and tell them the prob. they will take care of it. my dealer gave me the same resistance. i called hd they called my dealer and took care of it. the last thing the dealer wants is getting a call from the CORP.

Went into the service dept. at the dealership where I bought my bike...I spent less than five seconds trying to explain the 8* injector issue before the service tech I was talking to cut me off...he already knew exactly what I was talking about...no problems here...they actually took it in and swapped 'em out that day!
