Used speedo/tach
Hey guys new on here.
I got a question about the aftermarket speedo/tach combo. If it's used on one bike, can it be rest to use on another bike?

I'm pretty sure it's married to the bike that it is/was on and it probably won't work on your bike. I know when I put the "new" speedo/tach combo on my bike I went through a procedure that marries it to the bike. Even if I didn't go through the procedure, it would marry on its own over time..

It's married to your bike after 31 miles of use.

That's the case with a new one, but what about a used one? He's looking at a used unit and maybe I'm wrong, but my understanding has been once married, always married..

If it was used by a previous owner on another bike for 31 or miles, then it would be married to that particular bike.

Right on, thanks guys. Just thought I could score a great deal. I'll just go get the new one. At least I'll know that everything will be good.
