Hey Guy's, been trying to find my answer (no luck) I have a neighbor with a 2000 Dyna and when he starts his bike with choke pulled out-he just let's it idle and when it's ready the choke shuts down itself, I've watched it function a dozen times.
BUT my 03 fatboy (carb) does not work the same mine work's like old school choke (pull it out and start) push it in shortly after or it will stall, Can anyone give any opinion (might I have a wire unhooked or something ?) I did not even know a choke operated like his ??? Thank's for any advise....
More than likely his plastic choke friction nut is loose. If it's not tight the **** will vibrate back in. Mine is kinda loose to so I just hold it out with my hand for a moment then I push it back in. You don't want to over
Tighten that plastic nut or it will break.

Blob, Thank's I guess that could do it, sure does seem to function same everytime-like it was designed to work like a auto choke shut off, I never seen any carb do it before but it's kinda nice really, he just starts it with choke pulled and goes inside to finish getting ready and comes back out and bike is ready to go, hate to ask a question like this but I've been out of bike world for 25yrs-who knows what they might come out with?
