Default Bought a 2018 114 Heritage

I expected to buy a Roadking. But with all the changes to the Heritage I decided to give it a look. In the past I was never a Heritage kind of guy. But I really like the looks of the new model. After testing riding it I was sold. Two of the biggest factors vs the Roadking were the 100 lighter weight and the relatively cheap price of the 114 at $1300. A stage 1 can cost over $1000 on these new bikes so that made it a no brainer. Things that impressed me were the list of standard features like ABS, LED lights and cruise. The new frame makes the bike really handle sharp and the new suspension works much better. Those ridged and lockable bags are a huge upgrade. There are still studs on the seat and I would prefer they not be there. At least they are black and blend in.
They are way less unsightly than the old conchos which I really hated. Still not a fan of spoke wheels but that is what it is. If you keep the spokes torqued to spec I have never had any trouble out of them. Just don't prefer them. Stock seat may be the best I have ever had on a Harley. Time will tell as I have not been on any lengthy rides due to rain.

I checked one out yesterday at my local dealer and it is a nice bike. Very neutral seating and handlebar position. Perfect for those short guys like me that can both feet down comfortably, but at 22K plus tax, that is almost a 25K bike OTD. Here in CA thats That's cost a lot more or as much for a stock Road King, but with the bigger motor and lighter weight, there are always compromises to everything.

Congrats on the bike! Surprised myself by considering it too for a while. Never liked the Heritage before, this update is spot on according to me, great looking bike with good engine and frame. Many happy trips!

No pictures?

Did you add the stage 1? What did it include?

The 114 comes with the ventilator air cleaner. I plan to add the street cannon mufflers at some point. Once there is a power vision map for the bike will pay the liscense fee for a second bike.
