I see the black slip on are out, it says they are louder, is this true? Anyone actually try these things? Any word from other 3rd party makers on new exhaust systems?
I have not heard the SE mufflers for the Fat Bob. But I expect they will be similar to the other SE mufflers. They will be louder than stock but they will not be loud. They will make decent power, especially on the bottom end. As far as the after market you will have to be patient. The bikes have only been out for 2 weeks.
So do you wait all day on forums to post useless replies or is this hobby of yours after your actual day job?
First, how is my post useless...provides research for your question. Isn't that what you're looking for?
Second, you're not going to get alot of love w/this type of reply when your initial question has very little merit. The 2018's just came out and...drum roll...not much out there yet so what are you expecting to get fm this?
If you want the touchy-feely goodie two-shoes reply - here it is: Sure...anything's louder than crap stock. If you're looking for new products then...back to my original post (Google search option). There...feel better? I do.
So then you've been elected to speak for the majority? I asked a question to Harley enthusiast because they might have a deeper knowledge of these kinds of things. For instance a Google search came up with nothing, however I headed over to two brothers web site out of curiosity and they are currently taking pre orders for fat Bob exhaust...
The 2B exhaust sounds pretty sweet. Going to wait and see what other style systems shake out once the performance/aftermarket catches up to the bike. Will prob go with SE slip-ons for now... Satin chrome with black endcaps. I'll look into a new cam and full exhaust next year. The intake is the same style as the stage 1 SE Ventilator, so all I will do there is swap in a K&N filter.
Almost forgot, the catalytic converter is in housed in the stock exhaust cans, so there will prob be some better aftermarket slip ons coming out besides Screamin Eagle which still have the CAT in the can.
