Hello all, Seems to be I have an issue that I searched quite a bit to see if maybe some one had similar issues. My 02 Deuce has an issue that I cant figure out.Sounds TSSM-ish but not sure yet. I have no security light. I have neutral light, hi/lo beam works,horn, both brake switches,on/off switch is working by the check engine light coming on and off when activated.I do not have the intermittent function of blinkers(they light up only) .I have run,brake blinker mod installed and it is working except for blinker function also have badlands equalizer for 1157&1156 LED blinker/tail lamp bulbs. All bulbs checked working fine. Went out for a ride and came home.Went to go for a ride 2 days later and the gremlins arrived !
I replaced batt in key fob and I have a button type fob as well. I CANNOT START BIKE, NO POWER TO STARTER NO CLICKING indicating at least power might be going there. I go to set the alarm, no function. I even tried pulling up the code for the manual over ride but nothing.I tried all types of sequences that are available in trying to retrieve the manual codes.
I scrolled thru the odometer (which works showing mileage) and no codes just a speedo code of sorts forget what it is but I read it has something to do with pulses on the speedo sensor. Now I am wondering, I noticed on my batt charger (3 amp analyzer trickle chrgr) meter, batt is not charging to 100%, only to 85% .
Could a bad cell cause all of what I am experiencing ? Its a 24 mos batt and is only 12 mos old.yes I am gonna change it.But funny how I can't retrieve manual codes , fob has no effect , cant arm it cant disarm it.Could it be the elusive TSSM? Hoping its the battery and thats all.
I stink at chasing electrical leaks and the stealer in FL in my area is getting $125 /hr. Weird issue,why would almost everything work except power to starter and being that i cant seem to retrieve codes or arm or disarm, it seems to be stuck in shut down mode. I have read that a lot of men dump the TSSM for a TSM and then yu have to marry it with a sequence that is available on line. Anyone experience this gremlin?? In reading all had security light with issues,i have no security light at all.
fuses good no volt meter, have to learn that aspect of ownership.Wish I knew if there was a separate relay for starter, but I dont. Gonna start with battery, being that it wont charge above 83.5% so i will have it load tested and check to see if there any dead cells. Too many variables on this one. I have odometer and lights ,horn, neutral light .But only running lights on blinkers, they do not blink, no retrieval of codes and no damn security light what so ever.I dont like the disable alarm ( no audible siren) and on the fob had disabled it and use to fork lock and ignition lock and a disc brk lock when leaving it out of sight. .For it to be in this status is very frustrating and will have to be addressed with patience. Just wish someone else may have had very similar issues that may have a solution.As of now Im dead in the water off to Batterys +...... I am getting a new batt on warranty. Duracell are usually decent batts, but this one crapped the bed after 1 yr (24 mos.warr) so I'm happy about that aspect.

UP DATE Bad TSSM and the BAS (bank angle sensor inside TSSM) was toast (friend hooked up code scanner ) Bought used TSSM from indie shop with 2 fobs assigned for 80 bucks and all worked.Only issue which is OK is that module is a HDI TSSM module (Harley Davidson International. This module will auto alarm in 30 seconds with no ignition activity and you cannot disable that function. My domestic one I could disable the security system from auto arming .My system had no siren installed, it would disable ignition cycle. I had some gremlins before with this system and being able to totally disable it was great. Now no more choice .I took the other fob and put it on the bike and also carry 2 extra fob batteries . 80 bucks was great, new one at stealer was 260$ and they were gonna charge (62$) me for a new fob and marriage to TSSM. Plus no returns on electrial at HD so I figure I could try this and it would be less if it was good
little bastard was really tucked in behind the fender well to the left of the oil bag, got it and from there all good.No more gremlins and next move will be remove TSSM if it craps out and install TSM and no more security system at all
