I read somewhere it moves you back 3.5" and up 3/4", it doesn't look bad in the photos and was wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to see one of these?
At a 400.00 clip, I'd hate to order one and not like what I see.....
Tall Boy Two Up Seat...<br/>2018 Fat Boy/Breakout...
First thing i did when i got my Heritage home was order the Tallboy seat.

I had a Dyna Tallboy that i really liked and all though the new Heritage seat was comfortable, i needed to be back further as I kept pushing myself back on my tail bone. I actually felt the Tallboy for the Dyna was more comfortable than the Tallboy for the '18 Heritage but it's still a nice seat and was a good choice. The styling is definitely improved with some stitching and more sleek look.

I didn't think it moved me back 3.5" inches but maybe for the Fatboy it does.

I had my dealer order the Tall Boy Seat and as soon as I installed it on my bike I said a quick “hell no”. Returned it and I’ll wait until the after market has some offerings. I did take a measurement, it moved me back exactly two inches, helped a lot but the seat looked like, and I’ll borrow these words from another member, “a pillow in a case”. Here is a picture of it on the bike, gross.

Tall boy seat. Uggg

A little input guys.
This satin finish is growing away from me. I’m seriously thinking about sending out everything with this satin finish and having everything chrome plated. Also instead of a dark base, brighten up the paint also. I’m getting rid of these ugly plastic tank emblems and I’ll be going with this emblem off the Fat Boy Lo.
Well, what do you guys think, keep the satin finish or go chrome?

Never mind guys, in the process right now of pulling everything off to go out to Chrome.

Brushed emblems.

I for one like the overall mix or contrast you got going on with the paint, satin and chrome finishes. I think the satin is symbolic of the "new" fatter Fatboy. I mentioned earlier about swapping out your inner primary for a chrome one and keeping the satin outer. I would order up the chrome vertical trim strips that hide the seams on the front and rear headlight bezel nacelle and I suggested swapping out the cowbells on the front forks for black to break up the chrome a bit. Now that you are painting all the tins consider sending out the cowbells also. It's a good time now to swap the inner primary while you are waiting for paint and exhaust. My riding season here in Ontario Canada is quickly coming to a close perhaps another week or two but I can see your builds are gonna keep me entertained over hopefully a short mild winter. Kudos to you for taking us all along on your build process. You have mad skills for sure Putt!

Thanks for your input, great ideas.
I’m going to chrome everything but the engine covers and primary.
Everything in the photo plus the upper fork covers are off to chrome.
So, complete chrome front end, dash and rear fender rails agains a awesome Brandywine paint job. I think the satin finish on the engine will compliment the wheels. May stick with the stock tank emblems for a little extra bling against the red.
This is the plan and I’m going to stick to it.
Rich
