For something off topic but very much worth sharing. The results from my PET scan came back today (fighting stage four kidney cancer 4 years now) got real real good news. These results were unexpected due to the amount of pain I've been experiencing the last few months but scans don't lie, cancer has diminished and the number are better then they've ever been. Thank you God and thanks to family and friends who have been Praying for me. Prayer works!
Now back to work :-)
Not trying to sound creepy, but you crossed my thoughts a couple times over the last couple days...don't even know you other than Puttnutt24, but I did say a silent prayer for you, and your family.
Awesome News Puttnutt24! I am very happy for you and your family. I started following your thread since you started and usually don't comment, but had to send much love out to you brother! Keep on keepin on!
Thank you everyone, I sure appreciate it, means a lot...
I'm trying to attach a sound clip of these Street Cannons without any luck. I'll google it to see if that gives me any help.
I was pretty disappointed at first but after I let the bike warm up and really give the throttle a twist, they definitely had a fairly good bark, much better then stock. I'll know more once i get the bike off the lift and take it for a ride, should be soon.
Till then I'll try to post that sound clip. They look good however, I didn't want to lose the stock heat shields so that worked great, i really like the new brushed finish on this new bike..

Hey Puttnut, congrats to you and your family on the great news... onward and ride forth good sir!
Regarding not sounding much different than the stock pipes at idle, below is a quote from a member (trqUSMC) that posted to my Fat Bob SE slip on thread earlier today.
From what I've read on the technical literature Harley now has a noise suppression system installed in all the bikes. Basically a small butterfly that opens as you open the throttle. This keeps back pressure up during idle allowing a lower idle rpm and quieting the exhaust at idle. I have watched the S and S video and the RCX slip on video an all of them are quiet at idle.
I was wondering why the street cannons sounds so great on in the clip I posted when the bike was under load/acceleration, but sounded like the stock exhaust when at idle. Definitely something to look into further.
That said, another member (Gee) installed older SE II slip ons with Big City Thunder Monster baffles on his new Fat Boy, and it sounds freakin great at idle. He mentioned in another thread that these older SE II slip ons had replaceable baffles. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...l#post16681632
Gee also commented that the cat was in his muffler.
The easiest way to post audio/video that I've found is to upload it to YouTube (free) and then just copy/paste the web address from your browser window.
