Sidewalls on bikes are stressed differently than on cars due to our lean/turn mechanics. Some are in favor, others not. Lots of discussion about this in this section of the forum.

I have 35" tires on 15" rims on my Jeep to give it a taller stance.
Can you do the same with a motorcycle on the front wheel?
I'm thinking it would raise the front end and give me more pocket.
When I went from 16" to 18" wheels on my Slim I ended up with tires that were about 1" larger diameter in back and 1.25" in front which raised the stance about 1/2". That's not much but I did notice that it allows a little more lean angle

Exactly what I want to do... raise the stance. Was going to put a 21" wheel on it, but started wondering how much I could raise it by just getting a taller tire.

This^ Went from 16 to 18 on my bike and it does lift up the bike a bit.
I think he asked....can he run a taller tire on front, not a car tire
True, but he was basing his question on the dynamics of his car tire experiance. There's a lot of sidewall discussion in that forum related to either tire. Just trying to point him to some info.

Do you have any pics of your Slim with the 18s... wondering about this on my Heritage. I wouldn't mind a little more angle. Also which tire did you go with? Thanks.
what bike is it an what size front wheel? I don't know if taller profiles are avail for every size.....ex if you have a 90/90 a 100/90 would be slightly taller but not much...if you have a 16x3 you have a lot of choices on what to do...going to a larger diameter rim
