Harley doesn't back their warranty so i am going with Ducati

By the way how do i check and fill the engine oil? What kind of oil is best for stage 5 110ci Harley Breakout?

Sorry i know it may sound like a dumb question but i forgot to ask the dealer

any good syn 20w50 like amsoil or red line....mobile 1 will work but it's a step down from those two....if you're not going to keep it long term any 20w50 will work. don't over fill it or you'll get oil coming out the breather

Before you fettle, change or alter your next bike in the pursuit of perfection please make sure the warranty won't be compromised by securing it in writing beforehand or better still.... Don't mess with it at all.

Somebody may be in for a great deal on your Breakout considering the money you must have thrown at it to get it to Stage V?

How high do i fill it - believe it or not i have never checked my oil but after reading a horrible story where a dealer forgot to fill a customer's bike it caused major damage and the dealer refused to give warranty so i am going to check my oil myself regularly

So is the engine oil underneath the seat?

That is where you check the oil and also add it. Twist pull that out - dipstick is attached to it, oil should be checked warm with the bike on the jiffy stand. Keep it between Min and Max. All explained in your owners manual btw.

Ask your dealer what oil he put in the bike. Better to stay with the same oil I think, but then oil is oil.

The new Panigale (for those who require a rocket ship) come in two versions. The base version has 214 HP and the top version has 226 HP.

The Norton also comes in two forms 200 and 210, see reasoning for personal preference referred to below.

You're welcome! It is a great leap and change of style you are taking from the Breakout to a possible Panigale. Most head the other way as age and slower reactionary time takes it's toll.
The reason I posted the Norton is that I am looking at a 961 Commando MKII as a possible stablemate to my own Breakout. They are still hand-made in limited numbers and rare as hen's teeth, as a result you'd never lose as much money on them as perhaps other marques? Over here for example the Ducati Diavel value goes into complete freefall as soon as you ride off from the showroom. Potential future value is worth due consideration too perhaps? I fear you are going to pay dearly IF you are going to trade in your fine Breakout now it's sorted! I know you are deeply disappointed with your recent experiences with warranty etc. but 'Point of Principle' and moving on because of this could prove to be eye-wateringly expensive?

Here's the link to Norton if anyone may be interested? They are not rocket ships but have a healthy heritage and following.

So you really haven't learned anything new yet. Still pointing fingers everywhere except the mirror.

Nothing wrong with liking bikes, having fun, making mistakes...we're all still learning every day. But please save the nonsense for some other forum where no one knows better. That way you can post here about your honest experience instead of some make believe version we all know isn't the whole truth.

Ducati's are truly great bikes. I'm not sure I'd prefer the V4 over the twin though...I just like the nature of twins more, but I'm sure it'll be fun to ride. Power has to be nuts. I'm sure someone will enjoy your old Breakout.
