Over this side of the Pond it is common knowledge that if you use any tuner other than a Harley-Davidson 'approved' one namely a Screaming Eagle one warranty will be compromised and a hefty insurance premium hike may be levied too as a result.
Most warranties have strict rules and guidelines, wander outside these boundaries and there will be no sympathy from them when it goes wrong.
As stated earlier it is best to check BEFORE incorporating any performance upgrades if you wish not to compromise warranty. You will find it is exactly the same with regards to insurance too! Also get it in writing!

So with regard to warranty, surely anyone doing performance mods realizes they are forfeiting (or potentially forfeiting) warranty support, and rightfully so. I mean it's a given, right? We all know and have accepted that - ya! If you haven't, perhaps you should just leave things alone...

No. She mostly used genuine HD parts and it says warranty is retained if installed within 60 days of bike purchase. Look at HDâs website for any of their stage kits and it plainly states this. That is a change from the old days.
