Default SE Air Filter

Just got a call from my dealer which by the way I enjoy doing business with and trust. I know its an unusual statement but they are great guys. My SE Air Filter is damaged at 5K and it was not one of the faulty ones with the blue seal. Going K&N filter now even though it cost more.

Yes you will pay more but I think bike runs better with a K&N, I have a 06 S.R.T. VIPER pick up with the V-10 and I put a K&N cold air box on it as soon as I could!! You should get a small bump in your power also! PURPLE HAZE.

Well I was a little SHOCKED at SE filters with only 5800 miles on the bike. Hey K&N will be a great change though. I dont think I will ever use SE again.

Not to say I'm rich by a long shot but I got rid of mine after I first bought my bike!! It is just that I know the harley filters are CHIT and tear up if get wet, have you noticed your bike running better now with the K&N? Hope it is!! After over 5000 miles with the stock one, the harley filters are like pipes and SERTS or power commander it something you CHIT can when you first get it, and it helps to take the back plate off your breather so you will get more air!! PURPLE HAZE.

I put a K&N High Flow Filter on mine. Just got it back today with the new V&H Big Shots Staggered pipes, SE/AC with the K&N filter and a PCIII turner. The performance is a lot better.

Honestly I can tell the bike runs different for sure. I cant say it is better or worst just different I dont know how to explain it. The K&N filter is way better than SE. The dealer said K&N will last 4 times longer than SE. But runs different. I rode my bike for hmmm 30 miles today hope to ride more tomorrow and figure out the difference.
