I test rode a Streetbob and lowrider Wednesday, tomorrow a slim. Really impressed with the streetbob have been really thinking of trading my 14 slim towards a new bike reading the TSB has me taking a step back.
Was going stage 2 and 2-1 pipe on my slim before the test ride, I guess time is on my side may just stick with original plan.

Unless your dealer is doing the work and covering it them self; that's not how TSB work from my experience. If your not having the symptoms the TSB states, I believe they can't bill Harley to get the labor cost to perform. Now I am sure they can lie, but constantly doing it will throw a flag if your doing it every interval. Doesn't seem like a hard check to do. I'm not experiencing any of the symptoms called out in the TSB, but it's pretty easy to pull the crank position sensor. One bolt and pop it out.

Date of Mfg of my '18 Heritage 114 is 10/17 on the frame and plugging my VIN, said no recalls or updates as well as I can tell. Only seems to give the same PN for the oil pump.
Anyhow, no indications of any problems, have hit the rev limiter and top speed limiter many times.
Must be the latest Oil Pump as was not built before 10/17........We will see.............

The TSB is not a recall or update item. It's MoCo **** poor way of not admitting there is a wide spread problem. Not changing the pump part number is just another attempt to cover-up the issue. Any other manufacture would have updated the part number or at least revised it. This TSB has been revised several times all within 6 months, that in and of itself speaks volumes as to what is going on.
Look it's not doom and gloom, but MoCo is really looking pretty poor on this and other issues the M8's are having. I would at least have it checked and written on a service ticket if your bike is one of the listed ones, before your warranty expires. That way it is at least a written record of the issue. Let's face it any of us that have been owning and riding MoCo bike knows as soon as the warranty is over MoCo drops you like a hot potato. If your bike sumps at least you can hope they would step up and do the right thing if its on your service records.
