Love springers for their heritage and looks. The main reason they are no longer made is that with the bigger more powerful engines the front fork would flex too much with the brakes needed. There was a reason H-D left them with a single puck brake.

Can't find the picture but it is a vivid black 08 which was the second to last year of the Springer.
Bought my 08 Crossbones a couple of years ago from a dealer. The bike was bone stock with 8400 miles on the clock. I replaced the stock seat, (seams were parting), with a leather tractor HD item, and bought a windshield on ebay, (also an HD item, but at 50% the cost from the dealer. Had to buy the docking kit to fit the windshield to the bike). I remembered when the FLSTSB premiered and liked it then. It, "speaks" to me.
