FlyingBear...your saying you were able to install it
by going in from the top without removing the rear wheel?

Yes. The instructions for the 2018 Softails tell you to remove the battery, the battery tray, and then BCM. Then you install the siren into the BCM caddy, and put everything back together. It’s very fiddly work, but the service manual covers each step well. You need a T-27 socket and some long extension bars to get the 4 battery tray screws out: they’re slightly angled and it’s tight in there. If you look up the instructions on the HD online store for the siren for your particular ‘bike, they may be different from the ones for the 2018 Softails.
