I have an opportunity to buy some new wheels of a forum member - they look great, but I don't know if they'll fit, and can't find the answer through a search -- I have an '07 night train, and the wheels are 16X5.5 & 21. I'm pretty sure the 21 will work, but will the rear work - I haven't been able to find the specs on the 200 rear.
The 07 uses a different axle size than previous years. It is 25mm instead of 1 inch. You would have to change the bearings to use them on your bike.
Other than that I think they would work although your speedo and stuff would be off with the shorter rear wheel. I don't think it would look that great with the wide fender....if anything go to an 18.
vertigo, thanks, if i was in the same state as my bike, I'd probably go look on the tire, but since I travel for a living, and don't want to make the guy selling the wheels wait unitl I get home in a few weeks, I was just asking on here. Great help! Thanks!
I just ended a miserable saga trying to get spoked rims on my Fatboy...
I would never buy a rim that I dont know 100% sure fits cause theres so many things that youd think are easy and it just goes on and on and ends up being more expensive than buying new ones designed for your bike.
I would request part numbers for them and call the manufacturer before buying. If theyre HD then you can call and tell them your bike and the sellers bike and theyll tell you but aviod the heartache and waste of money i did... not worth it.
