Default FXSE 2" over fork extensions

I have a CVO Pro Street Breakout (FXSE) and am looking to lessen the front peg scrapes... 2" overs are the go?? Can I get some to suit my FXSE?

What year bike? Hell yea why not. I havent scraped since going +4 on my dyna. Just make sure you do it right and get 2 inch over tubes and not slugs. While youre in there may as well put a decent set of springs in to make it scrape less and handle better. May not even have to go +2 if you put a set of progressive springs in, they are pretty cheap too. I redid my springs and fluid for under 100$.

MY16.
You recommend to get the full tubes rather than (slugs?)?
They're inverted forks... Does this make any difference??

Yes it does. Inverted i honestly dont know if you could extend the lower tube(chrome inside one). You may have to either look into heavier springs for the front to prevent some of the brake dive, or see if putting in heavier fork oil is viable in that front end. Can you slide the fork tubes down in the triple trees at all?

Edit: the yamaha and triumph have inverted forks but i've never thought of extending them... out of curiosity how adjustable are your inverted forks? Do you have any rebound or compression dampening control?

So the inverted forks make a difference when using 'slugs'.
The FXSE has 43mm (1 11/16")(?), non-adjustable, inverted, front forks.
I don't experience any 'break-dive' however going slowly around roundabouts or turning at traffic lights, the 25 degree lean comes in to play...
I've thought of smaller front pegs as I have mini-paddle type fronts, but I want to retain as much original as I can...
By the sound of it, a set of new full inserts and some progressive springs will be the go...
I guess there's no way in knowing if handling will be affected until its all done......

Honestly i dont really know if progressive makes springs for the inverted front ends yet.. inverted front ends are usually ordered in the length required and ive never heard of anyone extending one. Its going to take some research on your part to find out what can be done.

Edit: leave it to harley to put inverted forks on a bike and use ones with no adjustability... whats the point of an inverted front end if it cant be adjusted to suit different riders. Sorry the moco just makes my head spin.

Sorry i couldn't help but i bet someone here knows and will chime in soon. Its crazy sometimes how with newer tech the old way of doing certain things becomes obsolete. Good luck and i nope you find out a way to fix your peg scraping, maybe raising the height of your foot controls for a little extra clearance?
