Looking to send my seat to Mean City, need to lower and shave the sides down, they recommended the memory foam, friend did the gel and found it to get hot on road trips.
Anyone here have the memory foam? Thoughts and opinions on comfort and heat would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I had my Ultra seat done at a local place.
Cut down, shaped, jelled, and dual foamed with a leather cover.
Loved it "especially on long trip's".
The only time you have to worry about heat is when it's left in the sun for hours.
The jell would get hot just like any seat, but held the heat longer.
I just made sure I covered it when left out for hours.
As far as the dual foam it was a stiffer thin layer with memory foam over the top.
Had an HD Signature Series solo done by MCC on my last bike. No gel but the memory foam was awesome. Most comfortable seat I've ever had after their magic.
