Last few days it has been raining a lot in Florida. Even being cautious going through the gears on the wets roads my bike a gotten squirrely more than few times. I love the torque of the M8, but on wet roads it is a challenge. Rear tire looks good with 8000 miles on it. But now I wondering what would be the best all weather rear tire for a Heritage?

This is why different riding modes, which we don't have are nice. I noticed the same thing on my Road King, I am thinking about calling Jamie at Fuel Moto and asking about a detune for my Powervision for this reason.
I had the same issue with the Dunlops. Squirrely in wet conditions, would track on the rain grooves, followed tar snakes, etc etc.
I switched to Metzler's and the issue disappeared.
+1 on the Metzelers!! Worked GREAT on my HSTC.. 1 big caveat - DO NOT buy Chinese Metzelers - they are not the same. They have a sloppy build quality and they did not ride that great. Had em on for a few weeks and swapped them out.
One thing that I've noticed and I've tried 3 different makes of tires on my bike, is that riding according to the conditions of the road also helps. Right now, I'm running Commanders and before that I ran Avon Venoms and both did great in the rain.

You can detune your bike at any time with your right hand; no need a "mode".
