HD Oil catcher drain funnel
I use tin foil folded in half to make it thicker and then slide it under the filter to create a pathway for the oil to run.
I unscrew the filter and let the oil drain out onto the tin foil and into the oil pan.
Then I simply remove the tin foil, clean up the minor spillage and throw away the tin foil.
I haven't seen a better way to do it.
