Fat Bob mirrors

Fat Bob mirrors
On my Iron, I ran the mirrors upside down. Just picked up my Fat Bob yesterday and attempted to do the same...no luck. Yes, I can physically mount them upside down but they hit the tank well before full lock. Has anyone had any luck with this? If so, how? I would love to be able to mount them upside down. Mounted upright has serious visibility issues as well clearance issues.

I'm not sure how you were able to do that. I tried again today and I was able to get the right mirror done, but there was no chance on the left. Im tempted just to take them off.

I just said fuggit and flipped mine. They hit the tank at full lock and now I've got a couple dings on my tank, but at least I can see. I figure I'm probably going to respray the bike anyway, so whatever.
One things for sure - if you flip them, the visibility is VASTLY improved.
I've been looking for a fix to the issue of flipped mirrors hitting the tank. I'll probably just install a riser kit. That should do it.
