I am considering purchasing a new 2018 Fatboy. I was wondering what the current out-the-door price was since we are close to the end of the model year. All replies appreciated.

I think $1,000 under MSRP with no freight or prep charges would be fair.

My thoughts are to go to the NADA and see what a one year old Fatboy bike costs. That will give you an idea. Remember, when you sign that contract, that bike is one year old and used. The reason I say "one year old" is because the new bikes come out NEXT month...AUGUST.
.
But above all, be patient. Some dealers will "deal" right now and some won't. That may be the case even in August and Sept also. But believe me, there will be PLENTY of dealers that WILL deal. Your task is to find one. It will save you thousands by doing so.
In April we bought the wife an '18 Fat Boy in Anniversary colors for 19K & TTL OTD and a matching womens Anniversary leather jacket for $200.
When I was negotiating with the salesman I kindly let him know that I was well aware of HD sales being down in excess of 18% at the time, I also let him know that since the bike has a numbered paint job (454/1100) I knew it was on his showroom floor for awhile and I also let him know that I knew where there was 8 more exactly same bikes within 200 miles and I had no problem traveling.
I would have been happy at 20K TTL OTD but started lower and it worked out better for us.

Scott, that was an awesome deal, especially on the Anniversary edition. Thanks for the information.
