I'm gonna run the .305 and see what happens.
The stock spacing will work with a 260 and a stock width pulley. I have a 260 on my Breakout with the 1" pulley, and it's fine. The problem with the 70T pulley is it's 1 1/8" wide, so if installed with the outside edge at about same location as stock, the belt is now able to move 1/8" closer to the tire. With the 5/16" spacer, it was ok when rolling forward because the belt tracks to the outside of the pulley, but when backing up the belt tracks to the inside and would rub the tire.

Ok gotcha! Makes perfect sense.

Yeah, so right now I'm 1/16 or so wider than stock, so I shouldn't have any issues with a 260, going forward, but it will likely rub if I drive around in reverse (not overly likely )

I don't mind a little bit of rubbing here and there, 99% of my mileage is forward.

If only I could figure out this shift light wiring, I would be able to out this damn bike back together!

New transmission pulley is on, inner primary is on, shift light wiring is run through the bars, just need to figure out where to hook it for signal
